1. An EXTRA CLEAN HANDLE FOR A "GAGE" PLANE by the Gage Tool Company, Vineland, New Jersey. Fully 98% of the original finishes remain on this extra clean example. Unlike nearly all other planes. There is only one size of handle for the Gage series, and this is it. Anyone have a Gage plane with a cracked handle? 15 - 30
2. A most interesting and unusual early LEATHER STRETCHING DEVICE by Highland. The name of the maker is cast into the body of the tool. A most interesting accessory to the upholstery trade. 20 - 40
3. SIX CLEAN SMALL LEVELS including line and bench types. Makers include Rabone and Chesterman. Iron, boxwood & aluminum types are included in this grouping. 35 - 75
4. A diminutive EARLY "STRAP" HAMMER made in England. This appealing hammer has a nicely turned wooden handle. 30 - 60
5. A LOT OF EXTRA CLEAN WOODWORKING TOOLS including a 7/8" size tongue and groove pair by D.R. Barton; an interesting cast brass saw depth gauge; and an unfinished skew rabbet plane of oversize dimensions. The "blade" is fashioned from wood. 40 - 80

40. A HAND CRANK ELECTRIC GENERATOR designed to light a small light bulb. It was most likely produced for conducting demonstrations in school shops. Our second choice is that it was designed by a government committee in a socialist country to provide "green" lighting for houses. 50 - 100

107. A CAST IRON PLUMB BOB, No. 4, by STANLEY. This cast iron body has a copper colored tone to the body. These tools were normally nickel-plated and this one may have been produced during the Second World War, when the use of nickel for non-military applications was severely restricted. 113. FOUR "MASTER QUALITY" WOODWORKING PLANES, all by Montgomery Ward & Company. Examples of the No. 3, 4, 7 and 9 1/2, all in excellent condition, are included in this lot. All are in excellent condition. All of the Wards planes were produced for them by Stanley and are of equal quality. 50 - 100
114. Two GERMAN MEDALS by the now-defunct Master Race, Incorporated. These medals have 1939 and 1917 dates and retain their original ribbons. 50 - 100
115. An UNUSUAL ENGLISH COMBINATION TOOL by Harrison, Fisher & Company, Sheffield, England. This device incorporates shears, a screwdriver, trammel, bottle opener, etc. into a single tool of questionable utility but high collectibility. 30 - 60
116. A ROPE CALIPER RULE, No. 1206, by John Rabone & Sons, Birmingham, England. Graduated for both Manila and galvanized rope, this uncommon caliper rule is in top collector quality condition. 50 - 100

It is our experience that simply stating that what you have is a "sling psychrometer" will be sufficient to impress all within earshot that you are so far beyond them in technical expertise that they will be intimidated into never asking. Also, the next time you're on a flight and some know-it-all pilot starts talking about the "dew point", make an effort to engage him in conversation as you exit the cabin and ask if made the dew point determination using his own sling psychrometer. If he has one, you're in big trouble. If he doesn't, he'll look like he just lost both engines. This example is in new condition in its original slide top wooden case. 30 - 60
